Happy birthday, Elder Pearson!

Today is Elder Pearson's birthday so we decided to treat the boys to dinner at chez Mitchell. Matt made his now famous nachos (they seem to get better each time!) and I made an oreo pie for dessert. Elder Pearson and his companion, Elder Cropper are great guys and the kids love them. It helps that they are always willing to swing the kids in the air and listen to their concert performances- hey you gotta get music where ever you can on a mission!

Here are a few highlights of Pearson's 21st birthday party.

The evening started off with Pearson helping Piper with her math homework.

Meanwhile, Elder Cropper and Dax hung out.

Soon the nachos were ready! Mmmmm!!! But before we were allowed to eat our "waitress" came around to take our drink orders. Note that we already have drinks in front of us!

Finally we were able to eat and boy was it good!

We were all stuffed, but not too stuffed for dessert. Happy birthday, Pearson!

We wanted Pearson's family to feel like they were there with us, so we recorded a little video. Hope you enjoy. Just think this time next year he will be home for his birthday.

Thanks for making my son's birthday special and special for me, too. I CRIED!!! I'm glad he's where he's at, but the next few months will go slow and I can't wait to have him home. THANKS AGAIN!

Hi Sarah! I've heard about your nachos and would love the recipe if you are willing to share. Congratulations on the new wee one.
