Christmas Eve

After having a wonderful party for Nanna we set about getting ready for Santa's visit. We let the kids open their traditional Christmas Eve gift of pajamas. This year they got p.j.'s and a robe. And best of all....their robes light up! How cool!

Sitting in front of the tree in their new jammies

Then we let Piper put the baby Jesus in the manger. We alternate years so each child has a chance to place the baby in the manger. This is a tradition that I am carrying on from my childhood. The nativity we have was my grandparents and is probably 60 years old. I love it and am so grateful that I was able to inherit such a treasure.

We made cookies...

Did a little modeling...

Wrote Santa a note...

And set out his treat...

We got the kids all tucked in and they fell asleep quickly and I am certain that there were visions of sugar plums dancing away.
