Weekend Update part 1: Friday

We had a very full weekend so I am going to break it into pieces for everyone. Let's start with Friday, Dax's 4th birthday.

We started the day with yummy cinnamon rolls from Ana and Angela. Thanks guys!! After we ate we went to the YMCA to play in the super fun kid pool with Miss Egg. The water was pretty chilly but the kids didn't seem to mind. They went down the slides and in the fountains for a couple of hours. We got home around noon and Angela's daddy was here to pick her up and head down to see her grandparents (we hope you had a great time!).

After Angela left Nanna came to pick up Dax and take him to Dunkin Donuts for a birthday donut and chocolate milk. YUM! While they were having a donut break Piper and I headed to Publix to do our grocery shopping for the weekend. We were looking forward to having a house full of good friends and family on Friday and Saturday. We came home and put together home made chili in the crock pot. Before too long our favorite boys from Ohio pulled up to the house. We were so excited to see Junior Revolution! They are an awesome band that we have known for a little over a year. Whenever they are in Tampa they stay with us and we always look forward to their visits and hearing them play. We were bummed that their show for Friday night was canceled, but we had a good time hanging out here at the house all night. The best part was when I beat everyone at Scrabble, at least that is the way I remember it.

Here are the highlights...

Ready for dinner

Birthday Brownies for our 4 year old!

This pretty much sums up Dax's birthday. Skateboards, skateboards and more skateboards!

Brownies and ice cream, what more can a kid ask for?

Jay playing some acoustic in the family room

Here I am kicking some serious scrabble butt!

Matt was here too. He was either taking the above pictures or doing this

Miss Kelly was here and had a wonderful time listening to Copeland and watching Matt work on her masterpiece. We love all of you guys so much! Thanks for making Dax's 4th birthday so wonderful!

I never realized how time consuming Matt's artwork was! It was a real priviledge to watch my painting be born! Kel
